Ever wanted to sit in the cockpit of a 1940s Hawker Hurricane?
Based at The Shuttleworth Collection, Hurricane P3717 is a genuine survivor of the Battle of Britain with a combat record that includes the destruction of a Messerschmitt Bf 110 on 30th August 1940.
This special Hurricane event is a close-up and personal photography day led by well-known aviation photographer Darren Harbar, with the special opportunity to take a seat in this historic Battle of Britain fighter!* With on the spot training available throughout the day and practical advice, enjoy the chance to take great period images of Hawker Hurricane P3717 in its natural grass airfield environment. Teaching technique and camera skills advice will be available for those who need it, and the day includes a static photography session with a ‘Battle of Britain pilot’ re-enactor.
The day also includes a chat by one of the aircrafts current pilots who will tell you what it’s like to fly this rather special Hawker Hurricane around the skies today. You’ll also get a superb buffet lunch and free access to the Shuttleworth Collection before and after the event.
Places limited, pre-book only. Suitable for over 16 years old.
*Cockpit experience subject to height, weight and mobility.
