Museum Explorer Summer Passport

The Museum Explorer Passport is back for 2018! Both The Collection and Swiss Garden are really excited to be part of this engaging initiative.

This summer, take a family journey through the rich and exciting history of Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire with a free Museum Explorer Passport. Collect yours from a participating local museum and begin your expedition through time, taking in Roman Britain, natural history and the rapid rise of the industrial age.

Why not use the opportunity to take part in a craft activity? Every Tuesday from 24 July – 28 August there will be supervised craft activities at either The Collection or Swiss Garden.

Highlights include:

Tuesday 24 July – The Swiss Garden
Make a card teddy bear – £1 per child.

Tuesday 31 July – The Collection
Moth Match Challenge – £1 per child.

Tuesday 7,  Tuesday 14 and Tuesday 21 August – The Swiss Garden
Make & decorate Plaster of Paris and/or card fairy doors – £2 per child.

Tuesday 14 and Tuesday 28 August – The Collection
Create a fabric design inspired by aircraft and cars – £1 per child.

Session 1: 10.00-11.00
Session 2: 11.00-12.00
Session 3: 13.00-14.00
Session 4: 14.00-15.00

These craft activities are suitable for ages 5 – 12. To book please email learning@shuttleworth.org. Adults pay normal Collection and Swiss Garden entry rates.
