Talk: The Life of Richard Shuttleworth
Sunday 24 September 2017
Richard Shuttleworth lived life to the full, with a passion for racing (cars and aircraft), agriculture, riding, and ‘tinkering around’ with old vehicles are aircraft. He purchased his first vintage car, the 1898 Panhard Levassor, which he ran in the Brighton Run, around the same time as he bought his first aircraft the DH60X Moth (G-EBWD), in which he learned to fly. Both of which are still part of The Collection today and live on in his memory. Our Honorary Patron, Steve Harper, will bring Richard to life in this engaging talk about his life and importance at the heart of Shuttleworth today.
