Is there parking on site?
Free car, motorbike and cycle parking is available on site, and access (non-event days) is via the visitor centre entrance. We do not allow overnight parking.
How can I book admission tickets for the Collection and/or the Swiss Garden on non-event days?
You can buy in advance online through Book a ticket or on the day from the visitor centre.
Are family admission tickets available for the Collection and/or the Swiss Garden on non-event days?
Each paying adult may be accompanied by up to four children free of charge. Additional children are charged at half the adult entry price.
Do you offer group discounts on admission tickets for the Collection and/or the Swiss Garden on non-event days?
Yes, we offer a range of discounts for groups of 10 people or more. For more information please call 01767 627933 or email firstname.lastname@example.org (Monday-Friday 9am – 5pm). At weekends, please contact our visitor centre on 01767 627 927.
Do you offer combination tickets for the Collection and/or the Swiss Garden on non-event days?
Yes, we offer admission tickets for the Collection and the Swiss Garden separately, as well as combination entry tickets. If you are visiting both, the combination ticket will offer the best value.
Do you offer discounts for concessions such as students or over 60s?
We offer a senior entry rate on non-event days.
How can I book event tickets?
You can buy in advance online through What's on, by phone on 01767 627 933 or buy on the day from the ticket office at the gate.
I can't print my ticket, what should I do?
Download your ticket to a mobile device and bring it with you. We can scan your ticket on entry.
What are your opening times?
From February (half term) to October, we are open from 9.30am to 17.00. From November to February (half term), we are open from 10.00 to 16.00. Please see our 'Plan your visit' webpage before travelling as this is where any site information is found.
What days of the year do you close?
We are closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day. We may have altered opening hours on Christmas Eve, please check before travelling.
What facilities do you have on site?
Conference and hospitality facilities for companies, clubs and associations; play area; restaurant and visitor centre and gift shop, which are open seven days a week. We are also a wedding venue.
Is your site suitable for wheelchair access?
Yes, the Collection and the Swiss Garden are wheelchair accessible.
Can I hire a wheelchair on site?
Wheelchairs are available to be borrowed for use on site. There is no need to pre-book, but can be arranged by calling the visitor centre on 01767 627 927.
Is there a cash machine on site?
No. The closest cash machine is in Biggleswade at Sainsbury's supermarket (just off the A1).
Can I bring my dog to Shuttleworth?
Dogs are welcome on site (excluding specific events) but only assistance dogs are allowed within The Collection hangars, Swiss Garden, Restaurant or Visitor Centre & Gift Shop. Water bowls are usually available on the Restaurant patio. Please keep your dog on a lead at all times. Some of our events do not permit entry to dogs, please check before travelling.
Is it free to use the play area?
Entry to our state-of-the-art play area is free on non-event days. During event days, all visitors to the play area must hold a valid event ticket.
I'm coming to an airshow, can I visit the Swiss Garden during the day?
At the current time, entry to the Collection and the Swiss Garden are included in the airshow ticket price. Other events may require an additional entry fee.
Gift Aid and Gift Aid Admission
The Collection is run by a charity and all ticket income goes directly towards the upkeep and preservation of the aircraft, motor vehicles and motorcycles for the long term benefit of visitors. Instead of paying for admission today, you * can make a donation of 10% more than our entry price. This is our Gift Aid admission.
If you can Gift Aid today, the government will give us an extra 25% on top of your kind donation, in lieu of tax you have already paid. This is a rare opportunity to decide how your tax is spent, and all of this money will go directly to the work of the Collection and help keep the aircraft flying.
