Volunteer at the Swiss Garden

Fancy doing something different with your free time? Something that will provide plenty of fresh air, some exercise and an opportunity to meet people?

Now that The Swiss Garden will soon be open there are lots of new volunteering opportunities on offer to all age groups at weekends and during the week: including gardeners, and welcome stewards.

We’re looking for volunteers to help with all aspects of the garden who are able to give a regular commitment. Some of the roles are suitable for students looking to volunteer during the holidays. Previous experience for any of the roles is not essential as training is provided.

By volunteering at The Swiss Garden you will be helping to ensure that the future of this important historic garden is secure for future generations to enjoy.

If the idea of volunteering in one of the area’s most beautiful gardens at one of the most exciting times in it’s history appeals to you please look at the documents blelow* or contact:

Volunteering / work experience opportunity:

Do you enjoy working with children, don’t mind getting a little messy or just want to be part of the Shuttleworth event team?

This year Shuttleworth is delighted to introduce the ‘Creation Station’ which will take place on certain week days in the school holidays and at all our airshows. It’s the perfect way for children to join in with an array of craft activities relevant to Shuttleworth and our airshow themes.

Amongst other events duties, we urgently need help to run the station; so if you are happy to volunteer (or are interested in gaining work experience in this area!) and you’re not afraid of glue, paint and mess please contact Kathryn by emailing enquires@shuttleworth.org or call 01767 627924 for an  informal chat. Where possible expenses will be covered.

To volunteer at Shuttleworth please contact the S.V.A.S. office at www.svasweb.org
