Shuttleworth Re-enactor historians

At selected events throughout the year the Shuttleworth Re-enactor historians help bring the past to life with costumes and exhibits. Led by Shuttleworth’s Honorary Patron Steve Harper, people from all walks of life with a passion for historical re-creation come together to help visitors get the most from their experience.

The Shuttleworth Re-enactor historians help give visitors a better understanding of how the past informs the present and the fascinating journey of the history of travel, aviation, and vehicles, as well bringing alive as the world of period gardens and houses. It’s fun and all ages are welcome to join in. Please contact Shuttleworth in the first instance.

Tell us your story or help us with research

Shuttleworth is a place of living history, and we welcome stories from people with a personal connection to Shuttleworth. We’ve been very lucky to have welcomed here the grandson of one of the DH88 Comet pilots who flew to Melbourne in 1934, and the daughter and extended family of Major Pickthorn who achieved our SE5a’s combat kill the day before Armistice.

Got a story to tell, or can you help us with research related to Shuttleworth?
