Dear Tony and Karen

Just a quick note to thank you for arranging our last minute visit to the Swiss Gardens on the evening of June 15th, it was very much appreciated, the weather was also in our favour. Would you please pass on our thanks to our two guides Rosemary and Carolyn who made it a very enjoyable evening. We all now look forward to to our talk on 21st July by Beverley and perhaps we can amaze her with our knowledge of the garden.

Once again many thanks.

Lesley Spriggs

Dear Karen

I feel that a note of thanks is called for. Our coachload of 53 all said that they had a wonderful day at Old Warden yesterday. My feelings and those of many others, are that we recognised how much effort went into the day, particulalry remebering that it was an extremely hot day for people to be working. Points to come out of this, and we would appreciate your passing on these comments:

- The staff in the shop area were most helpful and made us feel welcome.
- The restaurant food was excellent and again the staff coped magnificently
- The flying itself was, as expected, brilliant.
- The commentary was perfect for an audience of all ages and degrees of knowledge.

Please tell all involved that it was appreciated. Several of our members intend to come again.

Many thanks for your personal contribution, Heather sends her regards

Dennis Turner

Dear Karen, Ken & Barrie

Thank you all so much for all you did to make our trip today to the Shuttleworth Collection so enjoyable. Everyone had a really good day. The guiding was brilliant, the food good and everyone enjoyed having the choice of other activities. I hope I might bump into you when my grandson and I come to our visits when I am visiting my daughter in Northill.

Best wishes everyone who makes the Shuttleworth Collection possible.

Dear Karen

I write with regard to the visit to shuttleworth for the VE day display on Sunday June 5th in company of Michael Bussey and two other collegues.
Would you be good enough to pass my very sincere thanks to those who make it possible for Michael to sit in the Hurricane, and particularly to the two collegues who assisted him 'in and out'! and who spent much time and took such troublewith him.
Also to yourself, Mrs Watts, Mr Morris and Andy Sephiton for permitting it. Needless to say Michale was extremely grateful, although it was understanding a very emotional experience.
He has asked me to help him record a short history of his life concentrating on the events leading up to his entry into the RAF, his (sadley) short flying career and his experiences as a Prisoner of War.
From my conversations with those collegues including the Chief Photographer ( I think also the freelance with 'Areoplance' etc) I anticipate they would support such a move. Also please thank the Pilot whose name I have mislaid who I think flew the Hawker Hind.
Finally, I would be grateful if you could pass on to the appropriate office, my own appreciation for membership of SVAS.

With Kind Regards

Your Sincerely

John Goodwille
