1937 Chilton DW1
This exhibit
This Chilton, privately owned by Michael Gibbs, was built from plans supplied in 1993 by Roy Nerou, the acknowledged expert on all things Chilton and who owns the red original Chilton, G-AESV, also currently housed at Old Warden. The aircraft was 17 years in the making, most of the work having been carried out by Roger Burrows at Swanton Morley in Norfolk. Michael tells us it’s finished in his favourite colour scheme – and is very nice to fly.
