Art in the Garden

New for 2022, this lovely activity is a welcome addition to the Swiss Garden’s Wellbeing Programme.

Creativity is a great way to have fun, relax and create calm and happiness. Combining this with sound relaxation allows us to put our daily lives aside, and to immerse ourselves in the beauty of nature while embracing and releasing our inner artists.  Our art will be based around observing the nature in the garden around us, following the flow of the seasons and incorporating our findings into sketchbook drawings.

Open to everyone, from confident artists to anyone feeling shy about their ability and wishing to develop skills. All styles welcome in a non-judgemental space, using sound meditation and insight to tap into your creativity and natural expression.

Basic materials – a sketchbook, pens and pencils – will be provided. If you have your own supplies or a favourite medium, please do bring them along.

Meet the artist: Kay Le Sueur lives in Biggleswade and taught Design in mainstream schools for 17 years. After a cancer diagnosis, she was gifted the time to spend on her favourite passion for her own wellbeing and exploring and creating all kinds of art. She also discovered sound therapy, using percussion instruments to accentuate and recreate sounds of nature to help release tension and anxiety and help create a state of wellbeing. Kay’s passion is for combining art and therapeutic sound to help connect with nature and to help others meet and support one another via this creative process.
