Competitions

Although some pilots take competitions seriously, the ModelAir event and its competitions are intended as a light-hearted way of recognising the skill and expertise of modellers. On some occasions, awards have been won by pilots who did not know they were being judged – much to their surprise and delight, of course!

Competitions are usually run on the Sunday of each event. To be included in the competitions, models must have been flown successfully.

All pilots please note and abide by new CAA regulations.

This event is operated under BMFA/CAA regulations: the British Model Flying Association (BMFA) is the body elected by the Royal Aero Club to be responsible for all aspects of flying model aircraft in the UK.
