Scarecrow Competition for Schools

Following on from the success of our fabulous Wheelbarrow Garden Competition for Schools over the Whitsun and Jubilee holidays this year, we are thrilled to announce a new and very different event for the October half term and Halloween – the Scarecrow Competition for Schools!

The Scarecrow Competition invites local lower and primary schools to create their own signature scarecrows which will be on display and dotted around the Swiss Garden over the half term holiday. Winners will be selected by public vote, so come along and follow the scarecrow trail in the garden, then choose your favourite and place your vote!

Winners will be announced on our website and social media channels after the half term holiday, and prizes include garden vouchers and a free Shuttleworth school visit for the overall winner. Thanks to Bedfordshire Gardens Trust for donating the garden voucher prizes!

Don’t miss this lovely autumn event, when the garden will be full of beautiful leaf colour and our half term activities will be in full swing!
