Teddy Bear Fly-In and Picnic
We are excited to welcome you to our first ever Teddy Bear Fly-In and Picnic!
Whether you come on foot, by vehicle or even by air! This is a wonderful way to spend a day with your family. So bring along your favourite teddy, grab a picnic and find a spot to relax for the day!

What’s Happening?
- Picnic in the Swiss Garden. On this special one off occasion visitors will be permitted to bring their own food and drink into the garden. Find a sunny point, position your blanket and soak in the stunning scenery.
- Name the Shuttleworth Teddy Bear! The Shuttleworth teddy bear is quite the celebrity. But he’s never been given a name! Go see him, and drop a name into the suggestions box. If your choice is picked you could win free tickets to the Family Air Show on the 7th August!
- Fly in with your Teddy Bear! Thinking of visiting by air? Bring along your own teddy and display it with everyone elses! Why not tell everyone about your adventurous teddy bears name, where its flown in from, and on what aircraft?
The Visitor Attraction will open as normal from 10.00 – 17.00. Explore almost 60 acres of Shuttleworth, including the famous Shuttleworth Collection, the beautiful Swiss Garden & the historic Lakeside Parkland with views of Shuttleworth House plus the children’s playground. The Shuttleworth gift shop and Runway Café will also be open.
Dogs
Dogs are sadly not permitted inside Shuttleworth House, the Swiss Garden or the Collection Hangars but are welcome in the Discovery Hub and outside for a walk around the parkland and house grounds.

Preparation
Please wear comfortable clothing and warm clothing. This activity takes place outdoors.
Make sure to bring your favourite Teddy Bear with you!

Come be part of the fun. For those visitors wishing to fly into the event, we have a limited number of PPR slots available. In order to book your slot, please visit https://oldwardenaerodrome.co.uk/ppr-booking-form

Car Clubs – Why not take part?
We are always looking for car clubs to fit with our event themes. If you have something you would like to display at our event please contact groups@shuttleworth.org to register. Entry for owners and all passengers on board at £10.00 per vehicle payable in advance, no event ticket required. If you have a car club that would like to join and is not one of the styles above, please contact us to see if we can get you in.
