Vintage Working Weekend
Join us to celebrate Richard Shuttleworth’s love for the working machinery he collected and maintained in the 1920s and 1930s.
This year we are pleased to be hosting Shuttleworth’s first Vintage Working Weekend, which will encompass a full day of vintage steam and working vehicles and entertainment on both days, accompanied by a Flying Display at our annual Vintage Air Show on the Sunday.
For details of each day and to apply to exhibit or trade, please see details below.
How Do The Drive-in Air Displays Work?
Please note the drive-in format applies to the Sunday Air Show only, and is dependant on government restrictions at the time.
You will be parked in your own box where you will have enough room for your car and space to sit alongside. Each zone will have toilet facilities, including disabled toilets and baby changing facilities. You will be free (and encouraged) to explore the Shuttleworth site including the Swiss Garden which offers a beautiful peaceful escape, the Shuttleworth House, the Collection Hangars and other ground attractions. To watch the display, visitors can return to their car space to enjoy the incredible air display from a plethora of historic aircraft. Commentary is available to listen from your FM radio.
In addition to a vehicle box, each person must also have a valid air show ticket.
If the restrictions change to allow the format of later shows to accept greater audiences, then we will refund the box price and parking will resume in our standard parking format of adjacent close-spaced cars. Please note Covid-secure boxes cannot be guaranteed for the later shows.
