An exciting day awaited our latest Member of the Shuttleworth Veteran Aeroplane Society (SVAS) Student section.
Louie Burn is the first of five young people who are cadets in the 495 Royal Town of Sutton Coldfield Air Training Corps to join the SVAS Student section.
Louie, along with his parents Lisa and Jeff, enjoyed a fabulous day on Monday, touring the collection in the company of Shuttleworth’s Honorary Patron, Steve Harper, who presented him with a certificate welcoming him to the Student section of the SVAS.
Louie only has one year of School life before pursuing his hopes for a career in Civil Aviation.
He has been working hard towards his aviation goals achieving flying hours through his involvement with the Cadets, while at the same time encouraging other young people in 494 squadron.
We wish him every happiness on his visits with us to Shuttleworth and look forward to welcoming many more young people and their families to join us at an exciting venue where our aviation heritage is inspiring our engineers, aviators of the next generations.
Welcome to Shuttleworth from us all.
