The perfect family day out! Expect to enjoy a thrilling air display, and ground activities to keep everyone entertained. Shuttleworth is home to vintage vehicles, motorcycles, and over 50 historic aircraft, with an adjacent 19th century Regency Swiss Garden.

2021 sees the return of the award-winning Drive In Air Displays from the Shuttleworth Trust.

This year, we are guaranteeing the format of the Drive In shows for the May, June and July shows and for the Flying Circus in August.

The Shuttleworth Flying Circus is a completely new Drive-In Evening Air Display with incredible and popular barn storming air displays; jaw-dropping roving circus performers keeping you entertained from your covid-secure parking box; the famous twilight aerobatic pyrotechnic display and a bonanza fireworks display. Whether a flying circus means to you the Red Baron or the Ministry of Silly Walks, you’ll find it all at the Shuttleworth Flying Circus.

Our new pricing structure will help visitors in smaller groups and without a car to attend our shows. It will also help us if we are able to change our formats back to traditional shows for the August, September and October air shows.

Each party must book EITHER a 5×5 metre box for a car with up to 5 people inside OR a 2.5×5 meter box for up to two pedestrians/two cyclists/one motorcyclist and guest OR a 4.5×8 metre oversized car space for all vehicles over 2 meters high, 2.5 meters wide or 5 meters in length.

Camping is also available to book online for each of our air shows. For more information, please email

Each person then must have a valid air show ticket.

If the law changes to allow the formats of later shows to accept greater audiences, then we will refund the box price and parking will resume in our standard parking format of adjacent close-spaced cars.

If you are shielding and want to guarantee a covid-secure box, then please stick to the May, June, July and Flying Circus shows. Covid-secure boxes cannot be guaranteed for the later shows.

Dogs on leads are welcome on site, but only assistance dogs are allowed within the Swiss Garden and hangars.

As this is a drive-in event, sadly we are unable to offer space for a dedicated Period Paddock as in previous years. However, you are welcome to come along in your vintage or classic car as a normal paying visitor.

If you would like to be kept informed when we are able to re-instate a Period Paddock again (this will depend on Covid restrictions), please fill out your contact details on our online Visiting Vehicle form.

If you are a member of a Car Club and would like to make a bulk booking and reserve several car boxes in the same area, please email our Air Show Manager.

There will be a small number of outdoor stalls selling aviation related goods, books, models to clothing and gifts.

If you are a trader and would like to apply to trade at some or all of our Air Shows, we are now accepting applications. To apply, please complete the online trader application form here. Please note that we only have outdoor space available and you must provide your own stall.

For other trader queries, please contact our Air Show Manager.
