This page contains a listing of events (both third party and internal) occurring within Old Warden Park with the approval of The Shuttleworth Trust which may affect residents in surrounding villages.
These events may include: increased traffic flow, firework displays, pyrotechnics (pyros), gun fire (live or blank), live outdoor music.
Events involving live outdoor music will be noise monitored in accordance with local council guidelines to ensure the noise levels are within the legal limit.

MAY
16/05/2024 – Old Warden Warren. The area will be used 1pm to 5pm by vehicles and actors. Noise simulations will be in use.

Sunday 12th May 2024 – Best of British Air Show (Site Wide)
Up to 6,000 people. Aircraft Flying Display – No loud music, no fireworks.
Gates: Open at 09:00. Flying: 14:00 – 18:00.
Traffic: All traffic to enter and exit via Alder Drive, B658.
Saturday 18th & Sunday 19th May 2024 – ModelAir (Collection & Airfield)
Up to 2,000 people. No loud music, no fireworks.
We are incorporating model boats in to these events on the lake near and around the Woodland Walk and Parkland.
Noise will be at a minimum but there will be 4 short high speed display runs each day where there could be higher levels of volume.
Timings to be confirmed nearer event date.
Event Times: 08:00 – 18:00.

Saturday 25th & Sunday 26th May 2024 – D-Day Weekend(Collection & Airfield)
Up to 2,000 people. No loud music, no fireworks.
Event Times: 08:00 -20:00.
Traffic: All traffic to enter and exit via Alder Drive, B658.
Sunday 26th May 2024 – The Greensands Country Ultra Trail (Parkland)
Up to 500 people. No music or fireworks.
Event Timings: 06:00 – 18:00.
Traffic: All traffic to enter and exit via Alder Drive, B658.
JUNE
Saturday 1st & Sunday 2nd June 2024 – Military Weekend Air Show (Site Wide)
Up to 6,000 people. Aircraft Flying Display on Sunday – No loud music, no fireworks.
Gates: Open at 09:00. Flying: 14:00 – 18:00.
Traffic: All traffic to enter and exit via Alder Drive, B658.
Saturday 8th June 2024 – Wedding (Parkland)
Up to 200 people. Music. No Fireworks.
Traffic: All traffic to enter and exit via Old Warden Village.
Friday 28th – Sunday 30th June 2024 – Festival of Flight Air Show (Site Wide)
Up to 6,000 people. Aircraft Flying Display on Saturday (12:00 – 16:30) & Sunday (11:00 – 15:00) – Music, outdoor cinema and fireworks.
Traffic: All traffic to enter and exit via Alder Drive, B658.
JULY
Saturday 13th July 2024 – Private Event (Parkland)
Up to 4,000 people. Music. Entertainment.
10:00 – 18:00
Traffic: Enter and Exit Opposite Wood Farm.
Saturday 20th July 2024 – Summer Evening Air Show (Site Wide)
Up to 6,000 people. Aircraft Flying Display – No loud music, no fireworks.
Gates: Open at 12:00. Flying: 17:00 – 21:00.
Traffic: All traffic to enter and exit via Alder Drive, B658.

Up to 5,000 people. Camping. Music on Thursday, Friday & Saturday Evening.
Traffic: Wednesday – Saturday: Alder Drive Sunday Public: Access Opposite Wood Farm.
Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th August 2024 – Family Weekend Air Show (Site Wide)
Up to 6,000 people. Aircraft Flying Display on Saturday & Sunday – No loud music, no fireworks.
Gates: Open at 09:00. Flying: 14:00 – 18:00.

SEPTEMBER
Saturday 31st August and Sunday 1st September 2024 – Proms Weekend Air Show (Site Wide)
Up to 6,000 people. Aircraft Flying Display on Saturday & Sunday – music and fireworks.
Gates: Open at 12:00. Flying: 17:00 – 21:00.
Traffic: All traffic to enter and exit via Alder Drive, B658.
Friday 13th, Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th September 2024 – Bedford Steam & Country Fayre [Parkland]
Up to 4,000 people per day. Music. Camping.
Gates: Open at 10:00
Traffic: Entrance & Exit via Opposite Wood Farm & Alder Drive.
Saturday 21st September 2024 – Outdoor Music Event (Parkland)
Up to 1,000 people. Outdoor/Marquee Stages, DJ sets
Gates: Open at 14:00. Event closes 23:00.
Traffic: All traffic to enter and exit via Alder Drive, B658.
OCTOBER
Sunday 6th October 2024 – Race Day Air Show (Site Wide)
Up to 6,000 people. Aircraft Flying Display – No loud music, no fireworks.
