It’s those moments when you stop, appreciate your surroundings and take a minute to soak up the atmosphere that make the best memories. At Shuttleworth, you've got the whole estate to discover, explore and enjoy in your own time.
Where to start? You could let the kids run ahead to discover the weird and wonderful sculptures on the trail in our woodland.
Or perhaps sit back and enjoy watching ducks glide across the lake while you have a picnic.
Sculpture trail
Set yourselves a challenge to find all seven of our sculptures along our Woodland Walk. The shapes were originally suggested by local schoolchildren and have been carved in wood from trees cleared from the Swiss Garden during restoration.

A beautiful summer’s day, lovely manicured gardens and relative isolation wondering around the landscaped surroundings with quirky little buildings, lakes and sculptures – what a great day out. We took a picnic and made a day of it.
