A huge milestone achieved for our Hawker Hind
After 11 years in and out of the workshop, our Hawker Hind has reached a major milestone: its first engine run.
Having not flown since 2015, the aircraft has undergone an extensive and highly complex restoration. Our engineers, working alongside a number of external companies, have carried out an enormous amount of work. This has included a complete strip-down and overhaul of the engine, as well as structural repairs to the fuselage.
Every stage of the project has required exceptional skill, patience and attention to detail, making this first successful engine run an especially rewarding achievement for everyone involved.
We have since ran the engine up to full power and the aircraft will now be taken back into the workshop for more testing.
We can’t wait to see it eventually take to the skies again.
