We strive to be accessible to all so that everyone can enjoy the full breadth of our site. Our site & facilities
Parking
We have eight marked disabled parking spaces near our Hill Lane entrance (SG18 9DT ///decorator.thus.branching) which are available on daily admission days. Further parking is available opposite hangars 3 - 6. This is a bit of a walk from our main entrance and is on gravel.
For air shows, entering via Alder Drive (SG18 9DT ///forks.extension.drums), there is dedicated parking for blue badge holders in a space that is central to the air show event area.
Entrance
There is step free access into our Visitor Centre, the main entrance for the Collection and garden on a daily admission day.
Toilets
There are accessible toilets in the following locations across the site: Visitor Centre, Runway Café, between Hangars 4 and 5 and Swiss Garden.
Service animals
Service animals are welcome across the site.
Carer tickets
Visitors who are unable to attend without a carer are entitled to a free carer ticket. These are only valid with another paid ticket. Please contact us to request a carer ticket.
Visitor Centre
Our warm and spacious Visitor Centre offers plenty of seating and can be accessed via a ramp.
The Collection
The Collection hangars have ramps throughout as well as occasional seating. There are toilets, including an accessible toilet, in a central block midway through the hangars.
Swiss Garden
The nine acre Swiss Garden has accessible paths and seating throughout. There is a dedicated toilet block. Service dogs are permitted in the Garden.
Woodland Walk
Our Woodland Walk is wheelchair accessible.
Shuttleworth House
The main entrance to Shuttleworth House is via six steps (without handrails). Due to the listed status of the building we are unable to install handrails. Wheelchair access is via Reception with internal wheelchair lifts to other floors.
Please note Shuttleworth House is open on select days only.
Accommodation
The Flat at Shuttleworth and the Garden Suite are unfortunately not wheelchair accessible.
All rooms are located on the first floor via staircase only – rooms 12, 14, 15 are 16 are then a further level up from the first floor.
We advise all guests with limited mobility requirements to get in contact with our team for further information and advice on accessibility within the property.
