Paul Shakespeare appointed as Chief Pilot from 2026

We are thrilled to announce that Paul 'Shakey' Shakespeare will be stepping into the role of Chief Pilot from 2026.

Shakey joined Shuttleworth in 2005 and has enjoyed flying a range of Collection aircraft over his 20 years. He said, "I am extremely honoured and very excited to have been appointed as the next Chief Pilot at Shuttleworth. I am really looking forward to working with the whole team in my new capacity as we continue to take Shuttleworth's air displays and aviation heritage from strength to strength."

We hope you'll join us in congratulating Paul Shakespeare on his new appointment, and in thanking our outgoing Chief Pilot, Paul 'Stoney' Stone, for his outstanding leadership during his tenure these past seven seasons. You'll still be able to see Stoney displaying at Shuttleworth as he returns to the role of Collection Pilot.
