Shuttleworth welcomes Hawker Hurricane G-HURI
Today we welcomed Hawker Hurricane G-HURI to Shuttleworth.
Pilot Dave Harvey flew the aircraft into Shuttleworth (Old Warden) Aerodrome where it will reside amongst the Collection aircraft in Hangar 4, 'Dangerous Skies' - a celebration of iconic military aircraft.
Owned by Historic Aircraft Collection, the aircraft wears the distinctive 302 (City of Poznan) Squadron colour scheme, honouring the squadron’s time at Duxford during the Battle of Britain. The Hurricane is due to take part in the upcoming flight to Poland with Polish Heritage Flight.
Visitors to Shuttleworth will be able to experience the sight and sound of one of Britain’s most celebrated fighters in flight alongside the Collection's own Sea Hurricane.
