Vote for Swiss Garden in RHS Nature Partner Garden of the Year competition 2026

Voting for the 2026 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Partner Garden of the Year competition is now open, featuring Shuttleworth’s Swiss Garden on the shortlist.

This year, garden lovers are being asked to vote on which garden celebrates nature in all its wonder through innovative planting schemes or projects which support the wildlife. This resonates with the RHS Bringing Nature Home Campaign which is championing the importance of all gardens as habitats for biodiversity and havens for wildlife and for fighting climate change.

Rooted in the Picturesque tradition, Shuttleworth’s Swiss Garden embraces the power of natural landscapes, and there are many ways in which the garden team are supporting wildlife and biodiversity. Shrub beds follow a no dig approach to protect soil life and organic fertilisers are used sparingly. Eco piles and leaf litter create undisturbed spaces for insects and hedgehogs, while ponds are maintained as healthy habitats for waterfowl. Trees are checked carefully during nesting season and pollinator plants such as buddleja add colour and life across the garden.

Voting closes on Monday 21 September 2026 at 12:00. All voters will be entered into a prize draw to win a £100 RHS Garden gift voucher which they can spend on plants to pollinate and attract nature to their own gardens. The winners of the competition will be announced towards the end of the year.
