In Focus: The Sopwith & Hawker Story
- 13 February - 12 April 2026
The Shuttleworth Collection is proud to once again host a Home Education Day.
This engaging day will support Home Schooling Groups from across the county, EDUCATE learners through an exciting programme of STEM-based activities, and INSPIRE them with opportunities to interact and problem solve, all within the incredible surroundings of the Shuttleworth Collection.
Experience the origins of flight, from the pioneering Edwardian Aviators with their strange and often deadly contraptions, through to the advent of powered flight including our very own 1909 Blériot Type XI the world's oldest flying aircraft.
Our hangars will be set up for you ready to educate and enthral, in a free flow format, allowing you and your learners the chance to explore all that Shuttleworth has to offer at your own pace, and along the way stopping by our education stations throughout the hangars, where our guides will be able to educate you on different areas of first flight.
Your ticket includes all activities and, weather permitting, a trip on one of the Shuttleworth Collection’s vintage buses.
Be the first to hear about our latest events and get all the Shuttleworth news
